New roughing end mill RQR 350

HPTec is setting new standards in the machining of stainless steel with an innovative roughing tool. During the test phase, the tool has already proven itself successfully in various medical technology projects. Now that the development phase has been completed, it is officially available.

The tool is available in diameters from 3 to 10 mm and has a cutting edge length of 2.5xD. A special dropless coating with high toughness prevents chips from sticking and ensures improved process reliability. The optimized chip breaker geometry produces short chips, while the sophisticated tooth geometry reduces cutting forces. This protects both the drive spindle and the entire machine. In addition, the service life of the tool can be increased by up to 30% when used in combination with hydraulic expansion or shrink fit chucks.

The tool will be presented at the market launch at the DST in Villingen-Schwenningen. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to experience the RQR 350 in action directly on a machine in a live demo.
